Waiver Codes for Flight Irregularity/Flight Changes within two days of Departure

For Travel Agencies in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Peru

The following procedures apply to tickets impacted by airline flight irregularities/flight changes within two days of departure. The below circumstances shall justify an involuntary change of carrier, routing, or class of service (IATA RESO 735d).

- An airline cancels a flight.
- An airline fails to operate a flight reasonably in accordance with schedule.
- An airline is unable to provide a seat on the flight on which the passenger is holding a confirmed reservation. (Over sales, etc.).
- An airline causes a passenger to miss a connecting flight on which he/she holds a confirmed reservation.
- A flight fails to stop at a point to which the passenger is destined or is ticketed to stopover.
- A flight does not land at the planned destination (divert).

Conditions

The following conditions qualify for Involuntary schedule changes, including other airlines' schedule changes:

  • Discontinued/Suspended flight
  • Change of flight time
  • Change of departure/arrival airport
  • Involuntary cases are where the passenger cannot be transported according to the confirmed itinerary on the ticket due to flight cancellation, delay, or other reason beyond the passenger's control. 

Applicable Tickets

  • ANA (NH-205) tickets issued by a Travel Agency
  • Point of Sale: US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Peru
  • Applicable Fare: All Fare Types
  • Tickets impacted by airline flight irregularities/flight changes

Agency Handling

  • Removal of all schedule change-affected segments.
  • Change the flight to the SAME CARRIERSAME SECTORand SAME BOOKING CLASS only (*2).
  • Change is permitted only once per schedule change. Any subsequent changes are subject to applicable fare rules and adjustments for taxes, fees, charges, and fares.
  • All change fees and fare differences are waived. However, the appropriate waiver code must be entered when processing the even exchange.
    (Entering the Waiver Code in the OSI field will NOT be recognized during the auditing process and is subject to ADM.)

Others

  • Tickets not meeting the stated conditions will be handled according to involuntary handling at the ANA office. Contact ANA Sales Support (salessupport@fly-ana.com) for assistance.

  • Ticket is valid for one (1) year.

  • For Wholly unused tickets, the ticket must be refunded within one (1) year + 30 days from the date of issuance.

  • For Partially used tickets, the ticket must be refunded within one (1) year + 30 days from the outbound travel date.

  • When the ticket is full or partially refunded, the agent commission claimed on the ticket must be returned to ANA at the time of the refund report, except for involuntary downgrade.

  • Failure to comply may result in an ADM, with disputes requiring valid proof or documentation. ANA may reduce ADM amounts for insufficient procedures if disputes are accepted.
